HEAT PUMP REBATES

Residential HESP Rebate

TIER 1

$500 rebate for the first eligible indoor heat pump unit and $250 for the second.

To be eligible for the Tier 1 Residential HESP Rebates:

You must be the owner of the home located in Maine
It must be heated throughout the heating season
Heat Pump must be installed in primary living area, not a garage or outbuilding
We can also let you know what models are eligible at your free in-home consultation.

TIER 2

$1,000 rebate for the first eligible indoor heat pump unit and $500 for the second.

To be eligible for the Tier 2 Residential HESP Rebates:

Must be a wall mounted single zone heat pump system
You must be the owner of the home located in Maine
It must be heated throughout the heating season
Heat Pump must be installed in primary living area, not a garage or outbuilding
You must not have a natural gas account for your home

Residential HESP Rebate

Tier 1

$500 rebate for the first eligible indoor heat pump unit and $250 for the second.

To be eligible for the Residential Efficiency Maine Rebates:

You must be the owner of the home located in Maine

It must be heated throughout the heating season

Heat Pump must be installed in primary living area, not a garage or outbuilding

Tier 2

$1,000 rebate for the first eligible indoor heat pump unit and $500 for the second.

To be eligible for the Tier 2 Residential Efficiency Maine Rebates:

Must be a wall mounted single zone heat pump system

You must be the owner of the home located in Maine

It must be heated throughout the heating season

Heat Pump must be installed in primary living area, not a garage or outbuilding

You must not have a natural gas account for your home

Residential AHI Rebate

$2,000 rebate for those with LIHEAP or for those whose land and building are tax assessed at less than $80k, $90k or $100k (varies by county)

To be eligible for the AHI Rebate Program:
Home Must Be Primary Year-Round Residence for OWNER

Must Not Have a Ductless Heat Pump Currently in Home

Must Not Have a Natural Gas Account for Home

Must Be Installed in Primary Living Area (Not a Garage or Outbuilding)

Local Community Agencies cannot issue Funds or Rebates for the same heat pump

Commercial Rebate

Standard

Single-zone heat pumps are eligible for $500 rebate per unit with an HSPF of at least 12.0.

Multi-zone heat pumps are eligible for $750 rebate per 2 zone unit, $1,000 rebate per 3 zone unit and $1,250 rebate per 4 or more zone units with HSPF values of 10.0 or higher.

Small Business Initiative

Single-zone heat pumps are eligible for a $1600 rebate or $2000 rebate in certain ‘active regions’, with a HSPF of at least 12.5.

To be eligible for the SBI Rebates:

You must be the owner of the business located in Maine

You must shift primary heating and cooling from existing fuel sources to high performance heat pumps

Utility bill must show SGS or general service rate class

Up to three rebates per business location

Facilities that heat with natural gas are not eligible

Warehouses, large assembly, grow facilities, and multi-family buildings are not eligible

How do I get the Efficiency Maine rebate?

Efficiency Maine offers rebates for certain heat pump models installed by a registered vendor.  We are a qualified registered vendor and handle all of the details for you.  During your installation we will fill out all rebate papers and have them ready for you to look over and sign.  We deduct the rebate instantly from your invoice so you get the savings immediately and don’t have to wait for the money to come in the mail.  We submit all paperwork on your behalf to Efficiency Maine.  It’s that easy!

Are you an Efficiency Maine registered vendor?

Yes, we are a registered vendor with Efficiency Maine and can offer rebates instantly. We keep all of our records up to date so our registered vendor status is always current.

Do I get my rebate instantly?

Yes, we give all rebates instantly. We fill out all paperwork for you and then we wait the 6 weeks for the rebate to come back to us , so you can get the savings instantly.

What rebates are you registered to offer?
